ABOUT ME:
My Journey:
I was introduced to Aromatherapy massage as a child, when my mum attended an aromatherapy course with Tisserand, (who wouldn’t love being a practice body for massage with essential oils!) I would fall asleep every time, and that still hasn’t changed.
The start of my own journey using essential oils began when a midwife gave me Lavender essential oil. Adding it into my baths following the birth of my first child. That experience and feeling the benefit of using the oil, had a profound effect on me emotionally and physically. Over the years I’ve been making blends for my family, mainly following blends from Valerie Ann Worwood's and Robert Tisserand's book. I wanted to know more, and develop a better understanding of the oils. Especially as I made some mistakes that led to some unpleasant skin reactions on myself. A friend gave me a much needed nudge to getting started on my journey to becoming a practitioner. "There's never a perfect time to do a course". So I started with the reflexology course with Louise Keet - The London School of Reflexology, as well as some CPD (continued professional development) courses. Then on to the biggie which was the Neal's Yard aromatherapy diploma course, with Victoria Plum, Elaine Tomkins and Martin Chorley as Tutors. Since qualifying I have enjoyed doing a multitude of CPDs, always looking for new ones to better myself and to be able to offer the best quality and variety of treatments for clients.
Qualifications:
I’ve been a certified Reflexologist since 2019, and a certified Clinical Aromatherapist since 2022. I love empowering clients to understand their bodies, discovering the gentle power of holistic therapies.
Providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to relax and let tensions melt away. I am always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into my practice and believe that continued learning is important for any good Holistic Therapist.
